The Toronto Metropolitan University Public Policy and Administration Alumni Association (TMUPPAAA) was formed in Fall 2007 and represents alumni from the Master of Arts in Public Policy and Administration program offered by Toronto Metropolitan University’s Department of Politics and Public Administration.

Nneoma Okafor - President

I’m excited to serve as the President of TMUPPAAA for the 2025-2027 term! I'm inspired by the opportunity to step into this role and give back to the program that has shaped mine and so many of our careers in the OPS and beyond.

This journey has been an incredible opportunity to grow my confidence and leadership skills, and I’m excited to work with my executive team, the program and TMU to build a vibrant and engaged community through our mentorship program and upcoming events where connections are strengthened between our amazing alumni and current cohort.

Ashleigh Smith - VP Communications

Hi there! My name is Ashleigh, and I graduated from the MPPA program in 2023. Since then, I have been a proud member of the Ontario Public Service in various policy and program roles. I have a passion for improving my surrounding community, which is why I am so honoured to be a part of this alumni network. As VP of Communications, I’ll be able to share useful information and updates with you about events and more, through our Association website, social media accounts, and emails. I look forward to meeting you at our upcoming events!

Michael Di Lorio- VP Finance

What inspired me to take on this leadership role was that it gave me an opportunity to step out of my comfort zone. I wanted to take the opportunity to expand my knowledge base and get more familiar with how finance contributes to an organization. What I hope to achieve during my term is that I gain a more comprehensive understanding of finance and I'm hoping to make meaningful connections with students and alumni through different events our association will host.

Mark Wojcinski- VP Community

Hello everyone! My name is Mark Wojcinski and I graduated from the MPPA program in Fall 2022. I had such a positive experience with the program that imparted so much valuable knowledge and skills that I continue to use in my career in the OPS. Plus, what also made a difference to myself and my fellow graduates was the presence of alumni, whose valuable guidance and insights helped many of us achieve great success in both the program and beyond. These factors combined are among the main reasons why I joined the Toronto Metropolitan University Public Policy and Administration Alumni Association Executive Team, to give back to an amazing program that made a great difference in my life.

As Vice President, Community Affairs, I have two main goals. My first goal is to take the opportunity afforded in this position to further enhance and develop my organizational, leadership, and mentoring skills with organizing events and leading community initiatives, while passing on my knowledge and insights to both students and alumni (whether at events or one-on-one coffee chats). With that, my second goal is to do my best to bring together both students and alumni as part of fostering a wider community where connections are made, ideas are exchanged, and everyone is welcome. I am a big believer in fostering community and bringing others together, so this is a big passion of mine!
